After twelve successful years selling diamond bracelets, diamond earrings, diamond rings and certified diamonds, Jim Woodard moved his store into the Northgate Mall and watched as business grew even more. Finally, just over eight years ago he realized his lifelong dream by opening his newest location. At twice the size of his previous location this new showroom is a diamond lover’s dream.

“The selection and display that we have at Woodard’s Diamond and Design is unlike any other that you will find in the area,” said Mr. Woodard, founder and president of his namesake company. “At least once a week we get a customer who remarks to us that they thought they would have to travel to Nashville or Atlanta to find a selection like what we offer, and that makes all of us very happy.” It is only fitting that Mr. Woodard would be thinking about how his business could help his community as he is well known around town for the numerous charitable boards and organizations he is affiliated with.

Every year Jim goes to Antwerp, Belgium, the diamond capital of the world, to personally meet with the suppliers and choose the diamonds for his store. With the expanded new showcase, not only did they have room to significantly increase their display cases but they also added in a jewelry design and repair shop in house. Now when he goes to Europe he doesn’t just buy completed jewelry but also loose diamonds so his customers can design jewelry just like they always imagined. With these new services came the need to make sure his staff was ready for it, which is why he is constantly holding workshops and seminars and sending his staff to conventions so they can have the latest knowledge on diamonds and be able to share it with each of their customers.
