When it comes to having the finest jewelry and the most beautiful diamond engagement rings, wedding bands and bridal jewelry, Scott Wickham believed that every young couple should have the same options. That is why he returned home and opened Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers. With a focus on custom design jewelry that Mr. Wickham has become known for, the store also features diamond rings, diamond bracelets, diamond necklaces and other fine jewelry, as well as certified loose diamonds.
Mr. Wickham was born into the industry and grew up working in and around jewelry stores. It was this upbringing that led him to attend the Gemological Institute of America. When he graduated in 1987, the staff was so impressed by the creativity and talent that he demonstrated with his custom jewelry designs that they immediately offered him a job. He stayed for three years teaching countless other young students the art and science of bringing their own ideas to life. As much as he loved what he was doing, however, he missed the joy he felt when he was working directly with customers, helping them find the right piece of jewelry, and he missed the warm community he grew up in. He returned to Billings in 1990 and, with only ten pieces of jewelry, all of them his own creation, he opened Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers.
The response was overwhelming and immediate. He tapped into an underserved marketplace and soon was being flooded with more work than he could handle. Quickly, he expanded his business to not only include more custom design jewelry, but also brought in jewelry from some of the most sought after designers. Pretty soon, he and his store were known not only for the amazing jewelry that he created, but also as the number one choice in the area for diamond engagement rings, wedding bands and other bridal jewelry.
Today, business continues to grow at an amazing rate, so much so that they are currently in the process of doubling the amount of floor space to display all of their fine jewelry. With a staff as dedicated to jewelry as he is, it only takes one visit to understand the truth behind their motto: Nobody does “I do” like we do.
