For most people, finding the right piece of diamond jewelry is the culmination of a dream. For Kim Gordon, owner and founder of Dream Jewelers, owning her own store where she could help people find the perfect diamond engagement rings, wedding bands and other bridal jewelry, as well as diamond earrings, diamond rings and diamond necklaces, was a dream of hers for over two decades. Now her dream has finally come true as she takes what has been one of the most respected jewelry stores in the OshKosh area for the last forty years and recreates it for the next generation.
Dream Jewelers came into existence when Bill Thimke renamed JF Krumrich Jewelers, which he had bought two years earlier. Bill continued on the legacy that Krumrich had established by offering the finest diamond jewelry and diamond engagement rings at a fair price combined with exceptional customer service. Over the years, that success has led to three moves, each time expanding the floor space and design capabilities.
During that time, Kim Gordon was establishing herself as one of the most passionate people in the jewelry industry. Over the past two decades Kim has worked at a commercial chain jewelry store as well as managed an independently owned jewelry store. She learned the importance of superior quality loose diamonds, knowledgeable sales staff and the opportunity to offer her clients custom designed handmade jewelry.
Her dream of owning her own store came true in 2014. To celebrate that achievement as well as honor the past, she rebranded the store as Dream Jewelers. Along with the vast selection of jewelry the store has been known for, they now offer the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind designs for diamond engagement rings.
