David Douglas Diamonds & Jewelry has been helping people of Marietta and the surrounding areas for more than a decade when it comes to shopping for diamond engagement rings, wedding bands and other bridal jewelry, but their legacy goes back much further. For almost 90 years, the Meadows family has been a trusted source for diamond rings, diamond necklaces, diamond earrings, loose diamonds as well as services designed to keep that jewelry looking beautiful forever.

The tradition started in Detroit in 1926 when family patriarch Arthur Meadows opened his first store called Work of Art. When his two eldest sons, who had followed in his footsteps, took over the business, they honored the family legacy by renaming it Son’s of Arts. Just as they had, their own sons joined the business as well as the third generation of Meadows to work in the Michigan jewelry store.

In the 1980’s, grandson Douglas made the move from the cold, followed shortly thereafter by David. The two spent almost 20 years working for some of the finest jewelers in the Atlanta area before finally opening their own jewelry store. Keeping with the tradition of including family names, they christened their store David Douglas Diamonds Jewelers.

Today, as the fourth generation of Meadows learns the family business, David and Douglas continue to provide the service and selection their grandfather began with nine decades ago.
